Interview
What makes you different?
What sets me apart is that I am motivated and disciplined. My fighting spirit helps me on and off the court. I won’t refuse to help someone who really needs. Like almost everyone I’m not perfect but I’m willing to improve myself in every possible way.
Why do you want to compete in college?
Tennis has always been my passion. I would love to have the opportunity to combine playing and studying. I want to be a college tennis player because after I graduate, I know that tennis will help me for my professional development. During my education in USA, I will explore a new world and I will meet new friends, which is an important part of everyone’s life.
College goals
My college goals are to get an education as good as possible and at the same time to improve my tennis and physical skills. It will be a pleasure for me to compete against other colleges and to help my school develop. Also, I would like to have the opportunity to be part of the university life and participate in any charity events and to support people who need my help.
Tennis and life Goals?
Tennis is a different kind of sport, which requires you to be well-prepared physically and mentally. You have to analyze so many possible situations. Qualities like positive thinking, fighting for every point, never giving up describe a good tennis player. In general, those skills will always help you in life. That’s why I want and I will do everything possible to improve my tennis game every single day. I believe that at the end I will be happy and I will develop in life through tennis. In the future, I want to become a sports journalist covering tennis and football.
Anything else we should know
Despite my relationship with tennis, I like to watch and play football. I have been training football for three years before I started to train tennis. In my free time I often go to the stadium to watch my favourite team. Also I love to spend time with my family and friends, while doing different interesting activities, such as cycling, travelling and kart racing. One unforgettable moment with my family was when we went to Sofia open in 2017 to watch the final between Grigor Dimitrov and David Goffin. It was an amazing day, which I won’t forget.
